John Oakley Fellowship

Applications are now open

The Oakley Fellowship is a 3-6 month travel fellowship aimed at expanding and refining an applicant’s armamentarium of neurosurgical pain techniques. This award is offered every other year, and supports an eligible applicant for up to $8,500 in travel expenses. Eligible applicants are residents in their PGY-4 year or later, or young neurosurgeons within two years of finishing their residency training.

Candidates should submit 1) a 500-word proposal summarizing their goals and identifying the mentor and institution or institutions where the training will take place, 2) their up-to-date CV, 3) their mentor(s) CV, 4) a letter of support from their mentor(s), and 5) a letter of support from their program director or chairman, if applicable. Help is available in identifying potential mentors and sites.
